Where is the .ini file?
Download Mod Config Menu to change any of the settings except StartingSquadSize in-game.

For StartingSquadSize: run the game once, then edit
Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config\XComMSSU_Settings.ini

What should the m_iMaxSoldiersOnMission and MaxDisplayedSlots values be? (currently 6 and 8 respectively in my edited files, with the defaults being 4 and 6). Cheers! :)

Leave those values at the default and let the mod do its job :)

Consider removing the hardcoded magic number and bringing it out to the .ini file in the next update. I know that bigger number can break a game but it's generally a bad decision to make a moddable constant unusable. Especially when we have problems with saves when uninstalling mods.

@Darkeas: No, that number is not configurable. Changing it will only break the mod.

Maybe you're looking for a mod that simply lets you set your squad-size directly? In that case, check out Larger Starting Squad

@Raja: That number is m_iMaxSoldiersOnMission - a configurable value which should not be hardcoded in any case, namely because it could be used by other mods and deviating from it could break the game even futher, especially if it differ to a newly created constant. Like in my case.

I'd like to second Drakeas' points. Additionally, every time you update your mod you overwrite any changes the end user has made to your .ini file, necessitating another game exit, .ini edit, and restart.

Your mod should simply be reiterating on the vanilla game's code for increasing the squad size. That code operates independently of the m_iMaxSoldiersOnMission variable. Why can't yours?

I changed the .ini file to 8 and i only see 6 slots at squad select. whats wrong?

I have the same problem. I'm in the .ini file, but I'm not sure how to set the MoreSquadSizeUpgrades.MSSU_UISquadSelect or +TryToFitEveryoneOnSquadSelectScreen option to "true", or if it's set to true by default and something in the mod isn't working.

If a mission with a vip,an advent and a resistance warrior,some warriors will be surrounded by aliens,make so many enemies join in battle.how to deal with the problem?

we cant put like 9 or 10 members? Im with that mod that expand enemies squads and usually are like 4-5 enemies for each squad member.. would be nice if below a bit for 3-4 if we could rise ours squad members and not nerf the enemies ones.
