No soldiers on first mission.
Not sure if this is a conflict with another mod (I use custom classes and playable aliens) or just something tied directly to the mod, but the first mission will outright refuse to spawn any soldiers and the game will crash soon after.

I got no custom classes and a similar buggy first mission: void skyranger and mission fail. Am not sure it's related to this or any other mod.

i have been trying to play with no other mods and the same issue continues to happen to me, is there a fix to this?

I had the same issue. I started a new campaign and it was fixed.
