PATREON

So I'm setting up a Patreon so that people can donate money to me through it.

Right now I'm working full time on my mod, but soon I'll have to return to the real world to make money again. That is unless you fine people see fit to support me with enough money to concentrate solely on my XCOM 2 modding!

That would seriously be a dream come true, I'd happily sit here all week working on awesome mods for you full time.

What I'd like to ask is do you think I should set it up to be a monthly thing, or should it be per significant mod updates?

Since I'm planning to update at least once a week I thought monthly is probably better!

Normally I'd be pretty put off by a request like this, but... You actually do very good work. That seems like a very reasonable request.

Well I want to keep working full time on these mods, if I don't get some money for it I'd run out of food pretty fast!

Capn, I get paid tomorrow. After the necessities (few as they are) I'll reg up on Patreon and see if I can't bump your dream up the list. Modders are the best reflection of the will of the players.

just gotta be careful with that though. It's fine to get donations through patreon but just remember that if you make mods exclusive to supporters on patreon that's when it becomes illegal due to copyright.

Oh, I don't intend to make anything exclusive. If I give any bonus to patreon members it will be stuff like WIP shots and polls on what I should make next.

I want everybody to enjoy the mod, don't want to stop people from playing it just because they don't have disposable income!
