Hello. I just wanted to help you out with the names for a lot of European countries as well as many others from different continents.

I was into Xenonauts (which is an old school XCOM clone) and there was a mod for it that gave Extended Backgrounds to your soldiers. The archive contains 4 xml files (link below). The ones that contain names are soldiernames.xml and soldiernamesfemale.xml. Those 2 xml files contain names (over 30k-40k) nicely grouped into countries (even those that are considered names for Flander countries and Saxon etc etc). Many African and Asian names as well. I thought it might help you. Here is the link to the .rar file which contains 4 xml files (2 of which are names for females and males respectively).
