It may be harder for the player to tell if a vehicle is dead but when you are not direct controling the player AI knowns the differents between a dead vehicle and one that is still alive. so the Player AI would not shot more shots Because they known the vehicle is dead. The game does not have enough audio clues to indicate that you have lost units and the kill log helps player know what needs their focus.
You get a visual clue when you loose vehicles and soldiers (harder to spot if you have a lot of them spread out) by looking at unit tab at the left or at minimap. Plus a lot of audio ones clues for tanks i.e crew screams, impact sounds, explosion sounds.
