I do not get any notifications and will probably not see it to read and respond. If you post in the comments section I get a notification. And will most likely respond when I take a break from programming.

If you post in the comments section, anyone is able to see it and respond in case I am not available. You obviously CAN make your own discussions, but if you don't post in the comments and warn me, there is a 95% chance I won't see or know about it.
