How to report bugs/crashes etc.
If you want to report a bug or a crash, please save me and yourself time and include relevant information like:

- What exactly is the bug? State the idea, the event the occasion the bug/crash occurs.
- When does the bug/crash happen? Does it crash on loadup. Does it crash when you do something special ingame.
- Have you activated other mods besides this?
- Before posting deactivate other mods you are using and check if the problem is still there.

If the issue is caused by conflicting mods I probably cannot help you. I only modify essential vanilla files to ensure the best compatibility that can be achieved.

So, I try to load my save game from old version, either from last save game or from autosave and the game crashes.
I tried loading both with only this mod active and other mods that worked fine before active and the game crashes.
Would really love to continue from my last save, so looking forward to your view on the problem or maybe even an idea on how it can be fixed... :-)

I think the only way would be to revert back to the old version of Idea Variation. I don't think there's another way to make it compatible again. The building changes etc are quite massive.
You'll have to use the latest version before the 3.0.0 update. You can find that in the forum where all direct download links are posted (scroll down a bit for old versions).

I found some errors in the codes, in events, that appear in the file error.log, the first is in events/Idea Variation.txt , on line 970 -> OVEREXTENSION_eventPicture but the correct should be -> picture = OVEREXTENSION_eventPicture , this make the event flogi_ideas.4 doesn't work, and in the last line (3989), have a -> } for nothing, this make the event flogi_ideas.22 doesn't work too --- the seccount archive is events/ideagroups.txt , on line 2075 -> } , this woundn't be there and make the event ideagroups.406 doesn't work, i guess this is helpful to u xD regards, Valete

The government buildings have a bug. After the town hall, the buildings reduce local autonomy by significantly less each rank after town hall(going from -0.1 to -0.01).

events/ideagroups.txt , on line 2075 -> } , it still here xD u need remove this "}", it make the event doesn't work

Don't know why, but whenever I try to build one of the new buildings, it just crashes to desktop immediatly. I'm not using any other mods that effect ideas at all. Or add in any other buildings. I don't know what can be causing the conflict. I'm going to try and remove all mods but it, but I'm still seeing problems

Okay, it's a mod confliction of SOME sort, I'll leave a note here with what mods conflicts, if you want to put it in the label

For some reason, the Divine Wind Mission for the japanese dymio causes a CTD with this mod only.

Hmn. Thanks for reporting. Its odd though. This mission uses the naval ideas that I deleted but normally the game just ignores things that don't exist. I'll fix the crash though. By the way can you tell me when the game crashes? When you accept the mission, when you complete it or sometimes else?

I can't tell you exactly when, but I had almost finished unifying Japan as the Shiba and it was around 1480 or something I think? Before 1500 I know. And I couldn't accept the mission. Every time I moused over said mission, the game would crash before it could even show me what the mission was about. I had to google what he mission was.

hello so im having this issue with your mod in a multiplayer game as when i open the menu to build building it crahes ussually it happens after a second time of opening the menu if any one has had this issue or can help me it would be apreciated.

Maybe try reinstalling the mod. It helped with the other guy. Also be sure that you don't have graphic mods active that might conflict with the interface changes.
