Some things that work in normal source chat don't work with your chat. Right now the first color it finds in the arguments of chat.AddText controls the color of the chat, instead of how regular chat works which is you can supply multiple colors. It also just straight up ignores anything other than an entity, color or string.

thats because my chatbox uses draw instead of derma, so it isnt compatable with rich text. thats why i cant parse more than the first color because surface.DrawText and draw.DrawText dont work the same as richtext

Ok, well firstly tell us what addons you have installed and anything else that is computer specific.

I play in 4:3 and the chat it's out of my screen, can you fix it for 4:3 screens?

i rotated the chat box till i can't see it anymore

how about colored text? like the moveing... rainbow text when you move the chat box.
