what is the lore of the bloody asylum part?
im really curious, this ♥♥♥♥ was scary, why is that there?

this part is like a mix between HL, F.E.A.R, and DOOM for me, maybe the scariest part of the campaign for me !

It's not directly stated anywhere, but I think the implication is that the Survivors die and go to hell after the explosion in Map 3. Afterward, they presumably ascend through purgatory and into heaven, symbolically speaking. I don't think it's a coincidence that the finale is in a church and the rescue vehicle is a flying helicopter you board by climbing a ladder.

ive noticed that prison itself has half life 2 map stuff from nova prospect ... for example the staircase where you go thru hole in the fence is 100% from nova prospect ... overall its a mashup of diffrend maps from diffrend games ,,, and lore? seems like some kind of bloody halucination to me ngl...
