Keeping simple vanilla is sometimes nice, but I think calling it the Roman Empire is better than Theme of Sicily. And the emblem is definitely better.

I completely agree with the decision the author of this mod made. It makes the faction feel more like it was intended to be playable all along, rather than a minor faction.

I like the 'Roman Empire' and emblem change but I would prefer that the Isaurian Dynasty was left out in favor of some generic strategos/dux. The Empire proper during this time was too busy with the Slavs and Arabs to pay much attention to Italy anyway and I like the idea of a basically autonomous provincial governor carving out a new Exarchate or Katepanate on his own.

I leave it up to the player. You are not required to use Constantine or Leo as a general. Recruit another, use him as your strategos. That's what I'm doing. Constantine and Leo are back fighting the Arabs and such while strategos Mauricius is leading a campaign in the west. Plus, I wanted to give them a dynasty for the player to build just like the Carolingian dynasty. Also, The Iron Chancellor's mod gives you your idea of a generic strategos so it would basically be copying him if we did, but we want to give different scenarios for players to play.
