How to Guide
Since Life Support / food is something that the dev's mentioned (if you go back to the recording of the live stream when planets were released they mentioned it brefily)... So I for one anyway, have decided that this mod is going into my games so I can practice.


Step 1: Ice to Grey Water
Mine some ice and put it into the standard Refinery block, it will give you "grey water".

Step 2: Drinkable Water
Once you have some Grey Water, put it into the Water Recycling System.

Step 3: Almost food

Bioreactor - Drinkable Water + Gravel = Nutrient Paste

Hydroponics - Drinkable Water + Gravel = Fresh Vegetables & Fruits

Step 4: Food
Food Processing Module - accepts the above items to create food and water packets


Thus far I haven't figured out how to "eat" or "drink" anything....

I don't think you can. I think this is just an RP mod.

I can't get it to produce food or water packets. I have the veggies and drinkable water in the processor.

I tested in creative mode by alt+f10 'ing in stuff like ice Seemed to work fine

Bloody hell, this is pretty much what I'd dreamed about... Except that I also expected what NASA terms a "sushi maker" too.

You eat and drink automaticly when your hungry or thirsty and you have food in your inventory

I haven't been playing SE much at all anymore. But does anyone else think it's more than a litte sad that Keen talked about doing a food system over a year ago and to date we've not seen anything more about it?? Probably dead like so many other things.

Just wondering, is there a way to keep this mod from using all the Ice in my refinery system? I've got two large hydrogen tanks I've been trying to fill and some hydrogen generators for my base but all the ice seems to get taken up in making "dirty water".
