Would this be possible?
Thanks again for a handy mod
Sorry i disagree. Only bed guarantees an inhabited base. Troughs could be scattered around the island or on destroyed bases. And the bed range covered is already very large, nearly over 50 cubic floor foundation radius in all directions. I doubt it can be a problem for you.
Here's something to think about.... I understand most players will keep their dinos close to their home where there is a bed for you to spawn at. However dinos don't use beds so why make that the thing that effects them. Dinos need feeding troughs to eat from and in a large base like the one my tribe has its very difficult to have all the dinos near beds.
With a large base and so many dinos spread out that cant be near beds, it makes it difficult to use the pet finder to point to pets outside the base.
If you think about it, if you have a trough set up doesn't it make sense you would know if you have dinos near it? You wont put a feeding trough out in the middle of nowhere. Your dinos in most cases will be safe in your base unless you are looking for them and they are lost.
In the end it is your mod I am only making a suggestion that I am sure a lot of people might find helpfull. Its up to you if you want to add this feature.
