But then you "connect" the pieces with the xml file, so that it work as a single piece.
The international airport from after dark uses this feature.
The pieces can also overlap, like in this picture. And you can use them multiple times:

EDIT: Found the downloaded xml file. Apparently I have the name incorrect. Still testing....
Of course, as soon as I ask for help, I get it to work!
"The <SubBuilding> tags represent the sub-buildings. Enter names and the values you used in your modeling application (position and angle). Note that Cities: Skylines uses a different coordinate system than Blender (Y is up, + is sometimes -)."
- Does it care what name I used in my modeling application? Mesh/Object name? Or you mean file name exported? Also any final verdict on rotation settings and scale in the blender fbx exporter?
- And also, should the objects be rotated in Blender? or can they all have same orientation 0,0,0 just that the mesh is rotated so it fits? Added you on steam if you would have some time for me :)
Here's the project in question btw: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=599422531

As you can see here, the point between the paths of the two different sub buildings lower the ground for some reason. I will continue to try to fix it, but I wanted to see if you encountered a similar problem.
EDIT: Disregard this. For some reason that only happens in that exact spot and not all the time.
I'm currently working on a project that has 2 sub-buildings. It works fine locally on my Computer but when I upload the project to the workshop and test it out; none of the sub-buildings are attached to the main one. The sub-buildings still appear in the Asset list in the Content Manager, but they are not attached to the main building when placed in the game. Any ideas about what has happened?
