Yes. There is a whole bunch of creatures who can do that, quite many actually, including flying animals of certain types, alpha argent, drakes, wyverns as an example, so you are not safe building higher up either. Metal doesn't really make you safe in this mod like you are used to in vanilla, better build somewhere naturally safe and secluded or make one hell of a defence.
