Use another mod. I would suggest the Photon Rifle. It works really well. It's balanced when it comes to topor and also on what it costs.

I recently used the Compound Bow with annunaki metal poison arrows. worked fine for me. You need to watch out that you hit him 3 times before he hits you, because when he hits you'll definately get knocked out :)

I just built a cage for the dragon. I took his aggro and got him in the cage. Close the door and knock him out with darts.

But be careful: Your cage has to be at least 5 to 6 walls up above the ground (the foundations) because dragons fly pretty high above the ground.

maybe poison ptero , go for low level drake , then level up said drake to get higher level drake .

Even max level Ptera can't fight 200s poison drake because of low torpor. Pteras got about 30k torpor or lower. They are unconcious after 30s :D
Has to be very low poison drake if you are planning to do that
