From what I know (I don't play with Annunaki) this is just a Ragnarok problem. Of no relation to the mods. What I would do: if singleplayer, try a dino wipe (run "destroywilddinos" without the quotation marks in the counsle). If there are still a lot of squids, erm, I guess avoid that area, lol.
If on a server where you don't have admin access, I'd first tell the admins if they don't already know, and then just avoid it.
Also, I have been wondering where this area is, could you give me coordinates/a map location?

Ive been playing single player on the centre and completely avoid the ocean because I am getting thousands of squid on the floor. Im also getting insane spawns in some of the caves too.

I also had this problem up until the last Ragnarok map update. Then the problem seemed to fix itself.

It does work but he did it wrong, this is the right one:
