I can't, once I take it, the wall behind me closes, so I have to put it back to let myself out again

I assume this is the puzzle that gets me the last emblem to open the safe room.

There's 4 crests in total,this puzzle you have to hit each switch from the youngest to the oldest. Fron newborn infant ending with the old man.

Crests are in the attic,the room with the movable statues & where you insert the blue gem into the tiger statue.

I cannot pick up the crests at all

Do you have any mods installed that affect objects or the environment? I used the HD mods to make my games look better,but sometimes I couldn't interact with stuff.

thats one of the easiest, and you get a tip when you enter the room:
"From Cradle to Grave..." also if you cant pick up an item melee it (push)
