Would a dedicated Multiplayer server work? One that runs from the computer itself rather than paying for a server.
I've actually tried this mod in single player co-op. Me the creator of the SP co-op could spawn in as a dino. However my sister couldn't. She could only spawn in as a human. I wanted to create an extra dedicated server using my sister's pc just for this mod. However i'm still unsure how to even install a mod to a dedicated server.

That's good to know. Can't wait to be able to test it out. Have always thought this mod would be good for multiplayer. Keep up the good work. If i knew how to make mods i wouldn't hesitate to help you with this project. I can't mod to save my life. I can only make 3d models.

A bit late to the party here, but...I have 2-3 friends that I play with on a non-dedicated server I set up, I'll show this mod to them and I'll get back to you on my findings if we test it out.
Is there a way to backup my current world and everyones characters before using this though? We've put quite a lot of work in and don't want to lose it.

Yes, save the folder you delete. I think you just can replace it afterwards, but haven't tried it yet.

So, has anyone been able to do a Non-dedicated server for this? Like a local co-op kind of thing. Because my game locks up when I try hosting one. MAYBE it's just load freeze and I'm ending the task too early? -then again it could be part of the invisible dino issues atm-

Any news on this? I would rent a server if someone could teach me how to add this mod to the server.

The ammount of money to pay for a server to play a Dino mod, why don't you try The Isle. You can actually play as dinos. It's a EA though but looks promising. Look it up.

guys is this mod gonna be made for multiplayer so we can play as all as dinos together? I might as well just get the game just cuz of that. The Isle is alright, but it's a long way off until it'll have as many content as this game has already. I'd recommend The Dinosaur Battlegrounds+Saurian as well, but sadly they don't even have version out so prob willtake a year or two until then we can stick with this fo sure

It should work on multiplayer like in singleplayer. I have tested it on a server simulation, his worked. But havent tested it on a real server. There also could be some balancing problems, bcause players just can play as rex and be very OP.

I actually have an idea. Its a very simple one, easy to think of. And balanced, in my opinion. First you start off as the weakest and worst. Then when you get to at least level 10-50, you can become another creature. It makes sense to me at least. Also, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE A SERVER WITH THIS MOD?

i tested it twice on single player co op. First try, Because i was the host i was able to spawn a dino in and play as it. However when allowing another person in, they came in as human. It didn't work this time.

Second try. Managed to load in fine for both of us. Both were invisible. She spawned near me and came up to the dino i was playing as. But she couldn't press N to spawn her own dino. So i climbed off mine and spawned another in for her. Didn't work. Because she wasn't in my tribe it wouldn't allow her to use any of the dino's i spawned in by pressing N. And i couldn't add her to my tribe because i couldn't locate her. Tried doing it through admin command but didn't work.

Thanks for the testing, do you know if this was on a dedicated or non-dedicated server?
