Are you not able to spawn as them? Or do you mean that when you spawn in they're aggro to you and you can't mount or ride them?
I know with a handful of dinos, when you spawn in you're immediately dismounted and they're aggro. It's currently a bug that this happens and the only fix for it is to 'FORCETAME' the dino.
If you play on a server, you could ask a server owner to forcetame it for you and unclaim it so you can play as it. Just keep in mind that Alphas can't gather meat (as far as I know)
