So, how does one install a mod improperly? I subscribed, opened the game, waited at the main menu until "Installing Mod" at the bottom right was gone, went to "Host/Local", cleared all my active mods, cleared my The Island save data, put Play as Dino! mod in the active mod list as the only mod, and there is no "Enable Play as Dino" at the character creation. Not anywhere. There's "Change Species", like the first image at the mod's overview page. I click on "Change Species", and it gives me a species list, I select a species (Raptor, Rock Drake, Tricerotops, even Dodo), click "Create Dino" to spawn, and spawn as a frigging Human. There is nothing helpful for me in the "FAQ and How To Play" discussion.
*sigh*... Could someone please help? I was all excited, then pissed off and now just depressed.
