Why Can They Blow Up Vehicles
I really like this zombie mod and have been having a lot of fun with it. However, it is very strange when I am in a car or helicopter and these zombies come and blow it up as though they were armed with explosives. Why is this?? It can completely ruin the scenario and realism sometimes, I am wondering if this can be changed or if there is a way to turn it off. What does anyone else think about this?

they crash the vehicle. setdmg +10 for example is what they do. so the will vehicle will explode if its too damaged.

Damn.... I want them to be like real zombies where you can hop in a chopper or a car and feel safe cuz they cant do ♥♥♥♥ against locked doors and whatnot.

Well I actually wish the zeds were a little more effective against vehicles. Right now, you can basically completely bypass any amount of zombie with something like a hatch back.

As it should be! Zombie arent tanks, they are pieces of infected flesh that are being animated by a virus

Dude, look at the title... Zombies and Demons. Demons. For all we know they could be supernatural (like in the tv series) and are nothing like the "standard" or DayZ zombies.

Yeah but there should be an option to turn vehicle damage off. It doesnt flow with the type of scenarios I am trying to create

I agree that there should be some realism to it, they shouldn't be able to damage to vehicles for the most part. It would be cool as hell if they could knock it over, though... Perhaps only Demons should be the ones to severely damage a vehicle.

Yeah definately. I would like the developers to add the option to turn off vehicle damage :D

thanks for the heads up about them eating me in a car lol, if the dev wanted so there is customization within the mod he could maybe have a damage to player then a extra calc for damage v transport. or do it the easy way and have a node that allows server owners to set the damage out put something like 1=25% 2=50% 3=75% ect. that might also be a work around to this

Yeah definately. There is already an option about them throwing vehicles, which is right there in the modules and easy to find, so why not have an option about vehicle damage too? They will legitimately explode almost any vehicle in a ball of fire very quickly and at about 5 or 6 feet distance.

While a car would most likely severely injure or kill a human, he is correct - particularly with more recent cars. Your comment regarding toothpicks was rather over the top, as that was not what he was saying at all.
