First of you'll have to create a master piece for the guild (the option will appear while talking to the guild master). You can increase your chances by working for your current master. Once you have your master piece you can buy your own workshop from the guild master and after 7 days it should be up and running. After that just follow the yellow arrows. (no joke)

Had another question, might as well not make a new thread since its crafting involved. I was wondering is it possible to craft better quality items than just the normals? like instead of normal maybe i get to craft fine items and well made later on?

I don't think so, but I haven't tried it either.
