Is it possible to delete a Mine Hole from my inventory?

I was trying to figure out how to place the mine whole, and ended up anchoring it in my inventory. Now I have a 10000 weight item in my inventory that I cannot drop, interestingly though I can mine from it even though it hasn't been placed.
