10v10 improvement suggestions
EDIT: I first opened this topic about 4 months ago. Being a fanatic of 10v10 and seeing no update's on Valve's part, I took it upon myself to create a mod called Dota 10v10 Extended that does all of the below (minus points 5 and 6). You can find the mod here. I have added all the missing heroes (Silencer, bloodseeker and death prophet) and instead of removing zues I reduced his ult damage by 10% (likewise with furion). Although I slightly nerfed the added heroes, they still OP in 10v10 but overall it should be a bit more playable than valve's version. You can see tha changes I made here (look for January 12 update).

TLDR; If people would like to have a supported version of Dota 10v10, then I encourage you to host dota 10v10 extended with your friends (get at least 12 people in the lobby for a 6v6, the more players the better), try it out and give feedback, and spread the word if you like it.

I have tried 10v10 and very much enjoyed it; its more action packed and more fun in general. There are, in my mind a few things that would help drastically improve it:

1) Base towers should be beefed up: they should have more hp and do significantly more damage (splash damage when fortified).

2) Respawn time should be reduced by 33% to 50% (heroes level up much faster on 10v10 and having long respawn times so quickly is too punitive)

3) Fountain should heal faster (at least 2x - 3x as fast), regardless of debuffs on you (think atropos ult).

4) Fountain should hit harder and hit multiple targets.

5) Remove Zeus. Now.

EDIT: the following has been added due to feedback:

6) Add 1 extra creep per wave.

People steal items on courier and drop other people's items. You can even put a teammate's items in your own stash. Broken and ripe for trolls.

Modify number 5 to > unban all heroes, tweak them by 10% down (half the thirst buff for blood, double cooldown for both DP non-ulti spells and reduce number of ulti spirits by 3-5, cut the int steal range of silence in half, increase zeus AA range but decrease spell range and modify passive so static charge doesnt do more than 6-7 % of hp in damage).


Honestly, I'm for unban of all heroes and let us players deal with the broken heroes (BECAUSE THERE IS A WAY FOR EACH AND EVERY BROKEN HERO to get fixed, then rekt) but the above suggestion is a sensible one.

I agree this would be the better long term solution. Personally I would opt for harder nerfs - for example I would reduce zues ult damage by 20%, reduce silencers int steal to 1 and halve bloodseekers thirst multipliers. That way all these heroes could be included. I might add a few minor 10-15% damage reduction nerfs for other heroes (spectres illusion damage / earthshaker ult) and see how it plays.

Banned heroes should have their issues modified for this game mode so I could any hero I want.

This update is incompatible with windows 10. It sucks ... you'll are being lost a lot a of gamers on sudamerica VALVE.

Windows 10, LOL LOL LOL...If I didn't upgrade my RAM over 4GB I would never quit my XP. I know there's a 64bit version but win7 isn't so bad. It's not as good though as the lovely grass :D

Здравствуйте, пожалуста сделайте больше лайнов, больше карту и какоенибудь ограничение по лайнам чтобы нельзя было перезолиить с лайна на лайн ! И с минуты 15 пусть эти ограничения будут падать ! ТОгда будет смысл в игре 10 на 10
