New drone ideas: topic resurrection
Post here your NEW ideas. When posting an idea be sure it wasnt in Drones 1 topic.

Currently wanted ideas (dont repeat them):
flashlights
hud redesign (see third page)
and everything that is in future updates.
Ill post here ideas that i like.
also stop posting "DRONES NPC" "AI FOR DRONES" in every third comment.

Didn't see this as an idea when I glanced at the Drones 1 forums, but something I'd like to see is for the drones to have their own lights/flashlights for navigating in dark areas. Or perhaps even a night vision of some sort?

Also, an option to spawn drones that don't need fuel/plasma (that aren't admin only) would be nice.

Looking forward to seeing this mod grow :)

Well darn, oops. I looked at the controls too, must've looked right past that, sorry.

Also, I just tried using nightvision and it's not extraordinarily effective at showing the path ahead, so my original idea still stands as well. A light/flashlight paired with the nightvision would be great. I've welded a lamp to my Melon Drone for the time being, lol.

Some sort of platform that automatically fuels drones would be cool.

Meele drone , ammo tool to drone , bomer drone and grenade launcher drone. (sorry for my english)

melee drone isnt needed, you can kill anybody when in sprint by hitting he
bomber drone? what u mean?
ammo tool isnt needed too, you can put HL2 ammo on drone and it will fill with ammo
grenader drone is in the description in Updates section

I think it would be a good idea to change the fuel consumption rate on many of the drones. Small drones especially seem to run out of fuel way too fast.

Speaking of fuel, I just came up with a couple of ideas! Would it be possible to make the cargo drone's fuel consumption increase depending on the weight of the object its carrying? Also, what about making the diesel can act like the plasma one and have a little "Oil Refinery" to fill it up? This mod could turn into something as big as Spacebuild was!

This. Or just make drones that have autoguns, targeting players and NPCs not registered as friendly.

i remember reading that you may or may not add ground drones by christmas if you do you could add a 4 legged spider type thing that can walk on walls and ceilings ect also like the vs in lost planet 2 you could have them "morph" togeather to make a stronger drone
