Author had been working on one for a long time but life does not always go the path you think he probably has a lot on his plate but if I'm honest and would be in his place I would try to make a mod for Bannerlord II instead since the majority of the player base transferred there.

Yeah in summary it is obvious he might be moving to Bannerlord M&B II.

Developer is one guy. There is only so much he can do. H is working on an update its just that it takes a long time by himself. He might move to Bannerlord but not until he finish's the next update because i don't know and dev who would spend years on an update only to abandon for a new game.

Besides, there are "potato" PC users (for example my PC won't handle Bannerlord), so it will be quite sad if all modders will go and make mods for new games only...

I highly doubt the author is making an update considering it's not had an update in 7 years
