I am planning to add a Sentry. Basically, a machine fueled with arrows/bolts that will just shoot at nearby target.
Do you think that I should just add it to this mod, or create a new mod dedicated to the Sentry, which would require my Archery Mod?
What would be the most convenient for the user? On one hand, having everything on the same mod is probably easier, but on the other hand it will make the mod quite big and the configuration file will get even bigger.
I came up with another arrow type: Use electrical doodads to make zap arrows which are especially effective on chess pieces.
The electric arrows will happen. I don't know yet if it will be for the regular bow or the magic bow i added yesterday.
For the poison ones i don't know. I am not convinced by the usefulness?
This is questionable, seeing how many arrows and stuff you have been adding, the configuration menu may get a little messy. I think it's your call. If you plan to add loads of details for the sentry, maybe a separate one.
Btw that's a really awesome idea, it's like having a easy to make Houndius Shootius.
For possible modifications for sentry, I suggest:
- A choice for it to auto hit harmless targets/only aggressive ones
- Invulnerable to damage/Will monsters target it?
- Portable or fixed once you build it?
I think i will go for a "add-on" to the archery mod because it is already quite big.
For your sggestion :
1) Planned :-)
2) I wanted to make it configurable so it is the player's choice
3) I plan to make 2 versions : One that you deploy and that is fixed like the flingomatic and a portable version that you can equip instead of your backpack
