Would it possible to use the techquie you have for shielding to generate a gravity field? that way you need only set the field hight and the Gs and it would remove having to balance field sizes on stations and ships.

how you go about balancing it well, maybe x amount of power per block on the grid or limit it to x amount of blocks per generator.

hell if i had the 1st clue as to were to start it would be somthing id work on myself but ive just not got around to learning how to mod game this yet :S
