Make it like the Boston Basher where if you miss a hit it hurts you
Edit: I realize that i dont know if thats a stat or not but i still think it should be considered for the Weapon

- My stat idea -

Advantages:

+20% damage bonus
On hit while charging: Cause the enemy target to bleed for 8 seconds
On hit: +50% charging meter added
-70% self blast damage taken

Disadvantages:

On miss while charging: Suffers the user to bleed for 8 seconds
+35% explosive damage vulnerability on wearer

My idea:

+Damage (10%)
+On hit: Bleed for 2 seconds (because its small)
-slower firing speed
-longer "delay" (do damage 1 second after pressing attack button) (it means slower firing animation)

Please no "hit yourself" and "-health"

I've got an idea.

Pros:
+15% Damage
On Hit: Stuns the enemy for 1 second

Cons:
-10% slower firing speed
No random critical hits

+15-20% Faster Firing Speed
100% Crit's On Bleeding Player's

Con's:
-10% Damage
-20% Slower Walk Speed

Why would it have longer range? And it's a mace, it's really slow to swing.

I don't think any of these stats will keep up with the eyelander or other really good melees weaps. It needs some more creative stats like when crushing heads you get more and more damage instead of speed and health like the eyelander. Something that is unique like most of the melees.

Ooo Ooo Idea what if it has a meter which you fill up and when you do fill it up, a chain reciols from the mace and gives its tons more range for a limted time and also at a slight speed boost
But this should be relitvly hard to get. Oh well time for the stats:

10+ damage bonus
Can increse range and speed for limted time
15- Swing speed
5- Decreas in speed while swinging

Possible discribation:

Plz plz considor cuase thrankly i would love this whepon with these stats

It looks heavy so:

Pros:
15% damage bonus
On hit: Sort of daze the enemies, so they can't move. In other words, it stuns them

Cons:
-30% attack speed
-10% movement speed

This idea would mean that you would have to use it with the should most of the time, because you can charge and the attack speed means that you can't just melee somebody. The best plan woukld be shield charge then hit them, move back then launch a grenade. It would make this a bad weapon in Medieval Mode though.

Pros:
100% chance to stun while charging
On hit: bleed for 5 seconds
Reduced knockback recieved by 30% while it is active
Cons:
Block heal while it is active
Honorable
-25% speed while it is active

2 on hit knocks back opponent

cons:
1 -20% attack speed
2 -20% movment speed
3 wearer charges 20% slower

Half of these stats dont even make bloody sense.
