Suggestion: metal grate walls.
Very simple thing: walls of metal grade and strength, but require much less material. You'd be able to shoot through them and whistle through etc, but not pass through. Would be ideal fence walls (for pve anyways) or sniper posts that are hard to see inside.
Ceilings would allow feces and eggs to fall through but not players or dinos.
