Kibblematic Suggestion
On the Kibblematic:

I like the concept of the thing but in it's current form it makes any-kibble production too easy.

It's also a bit of a chore to babysit the machine when you do a production run. You need so many stacks of stuff that you have to empty / refill constantly.
Storing and moving all those stacks around is a chore that could be mitigated.

On overall balancing I suggest:

  • Small eggs (from all dinos that generate small poop =) are turned into Egg Paste.

  • Medium and large eggs are turned into Rich Egg Paste.

  • Egg paste is used for the kibble of all small and medium dinos, such as dilo or trike.

  • Rich egg paste is required for the kibble of all large dinos, such as bronto or rex, but can be used to make any kibble.
The kibble recipes for small and medium dinos would accept both kinds.
Only the kibble recipes for large dinos insist on Rich egg paste.

This would allow for player progression. Tame a few dodos for your chicken coop and you can use the eggs to tame most dinos.
Once you set your sights higher you need to upgrade your chicken coop... considerably.
Or get to stealing eggs whenever you can.
Medium dinos don't lay eggs as quickly as dodos so the player would actually have to make a choice over what kibble to make.
Choices are important and non-dodo eggs would have value - like they do in the vanilla game. =)

On Inventory Tetris:

This is basically about the meat paste - which I recently had thousands of.
Storing that and moving it around is only a chore. It doesn't add any gameplay.

I suggest:
  • The (Alchemy Kit) meat paste recipes require 3 meats per paste item produced.

  • The Kibblematic recipes require 1/3 of the current paste counts.
That is still enough granularity to make recipes noticeably different but it doesn't require so many stacks of items.

It also makes paste production a tiny bit harder because 2 raw meat items dont get you any paste. Kill more dinos. =)

I agree it makes it far to easy, for example taming an Ape is supposed to be difficult without kibble. Generic kibble bypasses this intended difficulty (i.e. needing titanaboa kibble) and changes game balance. Generic kibble isn't going anywhere so it should be a challenge to create.

too easy? have you actually made kibble? it's 1 egg, 2 mejoberries 3 fiber, water and meat/meat jerky/prime meat jerky (varies) with a veggy... this system just takes out a need for a damn printed chart to figure what goes with what to make what. and you can kill all those eggs you wouldn't use like I wouldn't use pteranodon eggs for a carbonemy cause I can knock them out with stones and feed them berries why bother fighting the cooking pot's space looking up the ingredients just to make it

EDIT: and your suggestion for different meats makes it more difficult than it needs to be you already get more generic for certain eggs so that way it's all 1 type less getting exactly what you need for each (which btw is the default system) and more get what you need for a higher cost of exactly the same thing

Last batch I made with the kibblematic was 200some kibble of various types.

I had a chicken coop with 11 dodos so egg paste is a complete non-issue.
Meats are super easy to harvest.
I think I had some 3k normal mince piled up and a few hundred prime mince.

The ONLY limiting factor - if you want to call it that - is the speed of the jerky production.
And with the 6 preserving bins I had, I was doing okay.

I have made a lot of kibble.

I do not necessarily agree with the proposed fix, only that the kibblematic makes it too easy. Titanaboa kibble for example is a pain on my server, and I liked the difficulty of a perfect tame being hard.

It's only my opinion that kibblematic is 1 step down from /forcetame.

the point was actually making kibble isn't hard either

I've only ever had a single rex egg and never even saw a titanboa egg.

I realise that MAKING kibble isn't hard in the vanilla game.

Getting the proper eggs is just 1000 times easier with this mod because... you don't have to. Tame or even just capture a few dodos and you're good to go.

I can't find any info on where or how to get Base Veggie, which is an ingredient in the herbivore kibbles. Anyone direct me to the manual for this mod, or something?

base veggie is any veggie.. ie rocketcarrot and stuff can only be obtained from growing it in the plant plots
