Go to the bot's location (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\221380\473358292.
Then open resources\common\ai. Open the ResonanceBot 5-1c.per file with a text editor.
Then search for the line "skybox-set-name-mode 0" and change the 2 to either 0 or 1.
0 = AI name, i.e. "Resonance Bot 5.1c";
1 = Random Name (civ dependent), like the regular AI uses, e.g. "Edward Longshanks";
2 = Random Name like option 1, but with the bot's name in brackets after it, e.g. "Edward Longshanks (resonance Bot 5-1c)".
After you have chosen your preferred option, save the text file, and that's it.
Note that you need to restart AoE for the changes to take effect.
If you find the bot's name in brackets too long (like I do), you can change the name of of the .PER and the .AI files in the content folder specified above.
I have changed it from 'Resonance Bot 5-1c' to 'RB', so now whenever I use the bot it uses names like "Edward Longshanks (RB)".
Cheers,
G.
I can only find 2 Options of Names.... name Resonance Bot or just the Random Name.
No Combination of Both. There are also no more files to edit.
Your Way of Name would be my Favorite. Edward Longshanks (RB) for example would be Cool
