Did you talk to the tavern keeper and try buying player's supporters troops? that's the name of your troops until myou form a kingdom. After capturing a village it takes about a week for them to switch over to your troops as well.

Yah, I noticed that as well through me off at first. Just my 2 cents but i think instead of it all happening in at the same time it should happen a bit more gradually.

It either happens instantly or not at all, as there will just be extra factions without castles that go to war with people randomly, including the player.

I did edit the kings look so thats why has the new haircut.

Hey Larry, did you start this save before June 22nd?
I released a patch on that day, which added some things, so it's very likely that's why it got messed up. The only solution is to start a new game unfortunately.

But you can export your character and any companions you've already recruited and then import their stats into a new game.

After I finished killing those bandits the dialog that should come don't pop up (The first pop up comes when you meet them). And the bandit leader called "Merchant end".
