how could i have this map in hammer editor?
i am a new user to hammer editor and also have forgotten most things from tutorials. I want to learn how to do a lot of these things like in the spinning things in the doomsday parkour and having the breakables reset. I googled a lot of things and could not find a way to import a map into hammer.

well i found out how to decompile it and get it into hammer but it is completely white and i cant see anything. I googled for hours but found no help. I used bspsource and extracted the embedded files and they did extract but still had no textures. Is there any information that you could provide because i cant see anything and cant find any fix.

you have to put the materials (the trade_minecraft_neon zip) in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\materials for hammer to read the custom materials properly

i put the folder named "trade_minecraft_neon_v196_d" into the materials folder of tf2 and it didnt work. Im sorry if this is a dumb question but the trade_minecraft_neon_v196_d folder had other folders in it called maps, materials, models, particle, particles, scripts and sound and so did the materials folder in my team fortress 2 game files. Do i have to copy the stuff inside the material, maps, models etc from the trade_minecraft_neon_v196_d folder into TF 2's materials, maps, models etc folders? i dont know how i couldve worded this better.

You have to add things to your own directories. textures to tf/materials, models to tf/models. Textures are vtf and how to get vtfs to work in game you need vmts.

Remember that decompiling the map causes quite a bit of issues to the brushwork and some texture mappings so be sure to use your own fresh vmf files when making maps.

Hope that helps a little bit and be sure to check out topphattwaffles tutorials if you’re new to mapping.

Also be sure to use hammer ++ it has a lot of user fixes that make hammer much better.
