Why is this misc bundled together with a Firebrigade helmet?
I for one am a person who don't just slap anything on me in tf2 unless its for ♥♥♥♥ n' giggles as i try to match items up by time period and what seems most fitting with eachother and don't just look slapped on because i have no idea what will look good.

This mask i assume is heavily inspired either by an old Soviet gas mask.
(And no, not the Mister Foster one..)

While i find both cosmetics good looking i really feel they'd be better off separated as 2 different cosmetics without relation to eachother.

look at more that just the first screenshot, the fire brigade helmet is just there to show that it can be worn with other hats.

The author made a brigade helmet to go with this mask. It's a part of the set if you check further down and not just the pictures.

I don't mean the old brigade helmet here.

Hello fellow TF2R user :)
I agree honestly, the 'feeling' of this mask is quite sad and serious as it's a war gas mask, not a firefighter's gas mask (if they even have gas masks, which I assume they do considering their job). The helmet looks very cartoony and fun, which doesn't fit with the mask as you say.
+1 to the idea of them being seperated.
