Not a witchhunt, just a warning to not play on #1 Epoch Pro| PVP |0.3.9.0| HIGH LOOT | EDIT BY:VIPER
So heres what happened; I was enjoying this server so much that I was thinking about donating. Its really smooth, FPS is actually really good for mutiplayer, and the resources and weapons are actually pretty frequently replenished so youre not doomed to get rekt by the guy whos been playing since release. Me and my one other buddies helicopter craashed on some dudes base, I low crawled under the door, the server was resetting in 30 mins and you cant raid bases 30 minutes out, so we low crawled out, a guy was waiting for us when we got out. He killed my buddy but they traded, so he whined to an admin that the ONLY possible way we could have gotten in was glitching in, the admin instantly banned me without hearing my side of the story. I joined the teamspeak and he completey shut me out without hearing anything i had to say, called me a smartass when i said i didnt believe i had done anything wrong, and when i told him he was just going off what one guy told him, he told me "uh- no, im going off my own two eyes" (which he DEFINITELY wasnt because he was busy banning some poor dude on the actual opposite side of the island for getting into what i presume was his OWN chopper, saying he was standing "too close to peoples vehicles") "so thank you have a nice day", and proceeded to ban me from the teamspeak as well. They have a channel just for people who got banned to explain themselves, but he didnt let me say much of anything while accusing me of essentially cheating and being a smartass the whole time. He also blamed me for my buddy badmouthing the server after i got banned. Even though I had nothing to do with it. I wouldn't badmouth it. Because I wanted to play on it. Hence why I tried to overturn the ban. But at this point, I dont even care. This server isn't that fun after the first 2 hours. Look at some of these rules; they completely break the "Survival" setting that EPOCH is literally made for. This is NOT a survival server. Its more like a Co-op vs. A.I. server with friendly fire turned on (almost every kill you get literally says "friendly fire" because the game codes you all on the samw team). If you're looking for a true survival server like Epoch is supposed to be, this isnt it. Its a playground for admins.

DONT JOIN THIS SERVER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE THE ADMINS LITTLE BlTCH. However if that is what you like, this is the right sever for you:

If you're looking for a true survival server like Epoch is supposed to be, this isnt it. Its a playground for admins.

If a player asks you to step away, do it!"

You try to trash the server, by not even posting correct information.... you lied about the above section of rules, so why would anyone believe any of your other statements above....Next section copied verbatim from our server rules for our SAFE ZONES....

Safe Zone Rules – Blue Circles on the Map

- Do not kill or shoot anyone in Safe Zones, or shoot in, into or out of one.
- Do not follow anyone out of a Safe Zone with the intent to kill.
- Do not camp Safe Zones, waiting for people to leave.
- Do not camp inside Safe Zones for extended periods of time.
- Do not camp the edges of the Safe Zone – e.g. camping for a kill.
Buy your supplies and move along, no loitering.
- Do not steal vehicles or items from vehicles.
- Do not approach another player’s vehicle or dead body unless they direct you to do so. (JUST BECAUSE YOU WASN'T GOING TO DO ANYTHING STILL DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO GO NEAR SOMEONES VEHICLE/HELICOPTER!)
- Safe zone areas are not a parking lot for your vehicles. We are not liable for any vehicle left in the safe zone after you have been disconnected from the server for more then 15 minutes.
- Do not steal a players gear left on the ground from a death, they may be coming back to get it.
- Do not approach another player’s vehicle or dead body unless they direct you to do so.

You stated nothing about any of your above statements having to do anything with safezone...next time please get it right and maybe you might get people to believe in you.

except what you quoted me as saying and what you posted are literally identical lol so what is your point? not a single thing that i said was untrue. admins are badmins. you have a channel set up to try and overturn the ban but you didnt allow me to speak so whats the point of it?

In absolutely NONE of your statements in the original post did you state those rules are only in place in the safe zone. You tried to portray that those rules are in place over the whole map. They are not, but this is how you tried to portray it. Just like you trying to portray yourself to be the victim here, when in all reality you got what you deserved. If I told you I saw it with my own 2 eyes, then I was watching you when this happened. This is the kind of things I watch for. If someone is not near their own base, and I can tell; our admin tool tells us which jammer is owned by certain people. If I'm on the server, and I see someone that looks like they are trying to gain access into someones base, I will watch for a bit. Just to see if those individuals try to use the look through walls glitch, or any other glitch. What was your buddies name?

Both of you are whiny little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You have the cry baby player who goes on to a forum to tattle-tale on people because they didn't get their way and feel entitled to get everything they desire. Then you got the power crazy, tinny-♥♥♥♥, big-ego admin who has nothing better to do than to ban people without evidence. Its like waving your ♥♥♥♥ in the faces of people that cant do anything about it yet its a small limp shriveled ♥♥♥♥ that wouldn't even impress a thirsty midget. Pathetic, the lot of you.

Interesting read. Look, I have nothing to offer. But, if you're looking for a fresh start, some buddies and I started an Arma 3 Epoch server (Apricot Crew). If you want to join it and give it a try, and, promise not to badmouth us just because it's not up to yoru standards, then we won't ban you. It's PvP but players can team up if they want. Just no hacking or over harassing, everything else is fair game. For the love of the game, just have fun dudes! ArmaA3 Epoch server: 199.60.101.242:2302

To be honest, i can agree with this. I just wanted to get the admin out there as abusive, although i disagree that i felt entitled to anything. The only thing I wanted was to not be banned on baseless claims. If he had just said, I don't want that behavior at all in my server and its my server to do as I please I would have accepted that.

Yeah, not enjoying getting banned instantly from a server without any discussion for not breaking any rules, and then getting ignored when attempting to appeal through the avenue set up specifically to appeal bans is definitely entitlement!

because when it is a 'safezone', it is expected that you are not going to die in there, but due to some idiots that can't read the 'safezone' rules, and glitches with spawned in vehicles at traders; there can sometimes be a body laying around in the safezone. Let's just say you arrive in safezone, and get shot at and die. You're going to be pi ssed when you return and everything is looted off your body.

There are many mods and scripts that allow you to be invincible in safe zones, so why even allow people to die in a safezone?

If you have played Epoch, you would know the mod is not in its best form for a high FPS. The many mods and scripts you speak of have been tested in our server and they do have a noticeable lower FPS.

Also, with the way Epoch was built, and the way our mod is in our server; if someone goes near your vehicle and starts removing gear/items from it; you still have a way of defending your personal gear. Our server has the possibility of renting a vehicle for that particular session. These rented vehicles do not completely lock to a particular player. Anybody can unlock this vehicle.

So to keep our players FPS as high as possible within Epoch, and also the players have a way of protecting their own gear, we decided that leaving the invincible scripts out of our server was the best decision.

I've hosted missions with good FPS before and a simple invincible script at said location shouldn't affect FPS like you say but if that's what happened for you guys then i understand that.

Sounds like a ♥♥♥♥ server with abusive admin. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ power tripping kiddies who gets bullied in school so they had to "show what for" in a virtual world ruining everyone else's fun.

Exactly.

I never fully understood the problem with abusive server admins. I mean sure, don't be afraid to swing the hammer if need be, but for ♥♥♥♥'s sake you're playing a videogame; you don't need to instaban people for stupid ♥♥♥♥, especially when they didn't do anything wrong.
