I need more info... What material you trying to use and on which model? Try to manually set material from default list in tool settings. What addons also installed?

im having the same issue
it crashes when i try to copy any submaterial
something about a lua error i think

I will add option to disable material preview in the HUD later.. May be it will help. But now i too busy.. Pls, wait 3-5 days.

both sometimes it crashes without telling me the problem and sometimes it will crash due to a lua error

Wait wait... Theres a non steam version? The only way to not boot through steam is a .sav. There is no non-steam version unless you crack it/pirate it, which is bad.
