Map size
map size is too big, can u fix map size to small so we can put easy to server for FastDL ?

this need file bzip must <64MB and file full bsp must <150MB

I'm trying to keep the filesize as low as possible, but it's not easy with so much custom content.
Don't know what FastDL is or how it works, I added you on Steam if you don't mind.

Why don't u use the workshop for your server?
It's so much easier compared to former times with setting up fast dl and stuff.

@Squad: putting a compressed (bz2) version of the map on a webserver and then redirecting the clients to download it from there was the method to use custom maps for many years. Now I'd say it's common to use the workshop for the server side aswell.

I would like to use this map on my server but its too big for normal fastdl

as the OP said: bzip must be <64MB and bsp must be <150MB

All server know use workshop API but 99% they don't want use because :

1. Workshop DL using server USA ? so this will take very long time download for many servers out of USA or clients dont have good internet BUT FastDL will have max full speed download for who on server's country
2. map name will show /workshop/270347340348/de_zoo BUT FastDL will show map name de_zoo

that not true, steam servers are every where including workshop, it way more inconvenient to do it also if you going to use a fast download you won't have the lastest updated map which in my opinion do not worth it. You still can use the shortname if fast download is not present to change map but indeed for map list in files you need to put his ID too which is totally normal and the way to do it.

U was wrong, my server (using FastDL) update map very fast, and people know how to update. do u have a server ? u can check all csgo server using custom map on gamebanana, and how many server using workshop api ? no more

I use the workshop on my server in germany and there are zero problems with download speed. None of our players cares about the cosmetic aspect that the workshop id is shown in the map name.
I'm very happy that all the fuss with maintaining a fast dl setup is over. In my opinion using the workshop is much easier for both...server operators and the clients.

On another note afaik there is no size limit when using fast dl. Only if you wanna download directly from the gameserver there is (was) a max file size. The command net_maxfilesize seems to be removed from csgo however. Also you should use bzip2.

you are wrong, there is size limit for fastdl. you cant download bzips larger than 63mb or bsp files larger than 150. Same ♥♥♥♥ happened with the new season map when it wasnt on the operation yet

Yep you're right. What I found while searching more about this is that someone claims it should work when you put up map files bigger than 150mb on your fastdl but leave them uncompressed (?!?). Kinda defeats the purpose of fastdl but if it works...

If bsp > 150MB, still can using webserver for clients download, but if u bzip file, clients can not download
