How do i play as him?
How do i play as Ace in Don't Starve Together? I activated but it doesnt let me choose him

Just suscribing to the character won't activate him. You have to enable it in the games mod section. If it still doesn't work make sure to disable other mods to find the culprit.

I activated the mod and deactivated the others. But when i join my friends lobby it doesnt give me the option to choose him.

Does your friend have the mod? Is the mod the latest version?

No he doesn't have the mod, and yes mine is the latest version... So does that mean he needs to get the mod for it to work?

Yes. If your joining your friends lobby without the mod then it doesn't work. That because his server is based off his mods, not yours. But if you were hosting the server then your mods will be active, not his.
