or ofcourse you could have link from legend of zelda which rektz all the things with a sord.
Im thinking about it, depending on balancing and ideas i need your help in this case :)
I was going to say that you should implement some more modern/post-modern units but it seems you beat me to it, was going to suggest something like a super soldier, or a mech suit sort of thing like the death robot but not as slow and large. Or a powerful "tower" unit, that is good at holding the line, but has to take longer to deploy than artillery.
Or a unit that could carry invantry overseas (more than one unit of course)?
(I'm sorry if I said something incorrectly)
How aout units based on units form other games and original ideas instead of units from other games?
And because these units would be like wonders, we could give them special activable abilities
1 Movement
+500% increased effectiveness against cities
-50% effectivness against melee units
80% resistance to ranged
This is meant to kill cities and should be a around the invention of steam and balenced around then as a very powerful seige unit. Though should loose power versus tanks and infinatry of a later era.
