yea OP, please tell us something about that place. I read about it after the author of the map posted the wiki link. That is the most interesting place I've heard of. Was it really without a governement?

o and definitely find a way to share any photos. I have to think that this map doesn't do justice to this place. I saw one photo on wiki and it amazed me.

Well there was a small patch of area that IS goverened, so you are right on that

I can't really imagine what the city looked like before the 50s, but the pictures I have seen were in color. I have to think that most of the images I saw were from 60s to 80s
