Putting a damage bonus on a knife makes little sense, as a backstab always does 8x the users' max health(pretty sure it's 8, might be 6 times. Point is it's consistant), and the last thing we need to to make players want to butterknife enemies.

-50% Damage Bonus (Because it's broken)
+30% movement bonus (Because since most of the blade is broken, it should make you faster)
-3 health per second when equipped (Since it's a shard of a weapon, and it's old, it may be rough when you hold it)
+30 health on backstab (because you have avenged your fallen friends)

i really think thats not too good since doesn't like everyone use the eyelander? And that won't go well with the lower health AND the damage taken from eyelander. Even thought you do more damage to eyelander users, wouldn't this make them like 1 shot you?

im confused
Butterknifing means that the spy is just going up and shanking the enemy player, which isn't good, as it prevents the player from learning to be stealthy and becoming good with backstabs.

And it wouldn't help backstabs, as it always does consitant insta-kill damage no matter what, so adding more damage to it makes no sense.

How about deals bonus damage to enemies with head counts/killstreak counts, with 10 bonus facestab damage per head/kill? That would render good-scoring Eyelander demomen, air strikes, and anyone using a Killstreak weapon weak to facestabs, but it would have reduced swing speed to prevent complete dominance, like the Ubersaw?

so maybe these are better stats :
+10% more cloak when combined with cloak and dagger or dead ringer
+10% movement speed
+10% damage vulnerability
-15 max health on wearer

so maybe these are a little bit more balanced :balloonicorn:

I think dr duck's idea of making it usful with cloak and dagger is great. Although the movement speed is contradicts the move sensitive watch it makes sense. The small knife looks like a dagger

hmmm
i guess it makes sense, but the name has no relevence at all to the cloak and dagger
when I first started playing tf2 and i got this, i thought you could stab people while cloaked and i made me die a lot.

1: butterknifing is bad, so damage bonus scould be out
2: backstabs deal like 8 times the eveny's health, dummy
3: The spy is almost as fragile as the scout under some circumstances, and the slower move speed is not very convinient at all as a spy.
please try to make the stats better, as these ones are very bad.
