Why do we like the SKS?

I wouldn't class it as a sniper but it's a strong DMR. At long range it's not accurate at all. Fun to use though.

i had an sks and i have to say even though it was a cheap norinco (chinese vresion/ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than russian/yugo) it was absolutely one of the most enjoyable/fun guns to shoot. beyond 100 yds its 50/50 but at 150 i could hit torso 4 out of 5 shots so as a dmr its eh but as a do anything alright gun i think alittle better than AK just because of accuracy and handling. soft shooting reasonably accurate and if your trigger finger is trained more lethal than AK

The SKS used in this game is exactly a norinco sks-d,it has a detachable magzine

Because I have a thing for semi automatic rifles. And otherwise, I don't know. I just like it unnaturally more then I should.

It's extremely easy to use, in my opinion.
The accuracy and damage is good if you're in mid-long range.
Even in close range, you can accurately headshot someone.
