Only that I have the same problem with my 2 friends, since 25.3.2015 it stopped working.
We can't join each other's games and it says "game not found" we've played successfully before for over a year with never having this kind of problems.

If you start your game and hosting it several times with veritas, you have a chance that others can join your lobby, for some reason vanilla mp is working fine.

True but before there were no such issues. I hope it can be fixed by the VeF team eventually so don't have to play this game of dice where 1/20 attempts succeeds

Playing with the new women dlc and el dorado mess things up. I would recommend playing with just Res Publica, Conquest, and Art of War on. I turn off all other DLC except purple pheonix if someone is playing as Byz. Lots of the other DLC and expansions mess stuff up I find, those 3 mains expansions should work tho

yea Ive turned off all dlcs and just turned on the main vef mod before your suggestion and it didnt worked. It seems you have the best chance to host successful if you start eu4 the first time after booting your pc

You guys found any solutions?
Yesterday me and my mate managed to play for several hours, and now when we were to resume it suddently didn't work. We've tried all possible fixes (restarting game without mod, dlcs, etc.)

Just throwing this out there. No clue whether or not it will work.

Open the settings.txt files in documents/paradox interactive/europa universalis iv and scroll all the way to the end to some lines that will say (or something similar):

last_mods=
{
"mod/vef.mod"
}

And delete those lines.


If all else fails, and a bit extreme, have you guys tried a clean re-install of EU4? (move the save files somewhere safe and make sure you also get rid of the EU4 folder in your documents).

I've had the same issue, and I've tried every solution given here and elsewhere, and it still does not work. Literally speaking, We were first able to play VeF with everything on just fine, then we had to shut all the minor mods to host multiplayer, now we can't play at alll,

Still doesn't work. We can play fine when a friend of ours host, but we can't find each others games.

Any fixes on this yet?

I might sound like a broken record, but any clues as to what the cause could be?

Haven't tried again myself but the 4-5 times we've tried it's only worked in vanilla not on the mod for once.

I guess the next DLC.

One major thing we noticed is that the I.D that shows inside the game for me as host is different to the one that my friends find on the "game/server list" they look at.
