are you running it in english? also pc specs would not hurt to disprove that it is not your pc. Generally mods require well above the pc specs to run at all if not decently

Gtx 970 HOF edition overclocked to 1600MHz core and between 8-10000 memory clock (cant remember), i5 4670k, 8gb ram, etc etc. I can run metro last light with full settings including ssaa at solid 60, so i know it isnt a problem. I dont understand why language would affect performance, but im running it in whatever default is, i simply clicked subscribe and turned it on.

The language can affect performance because only English is supported. If you run EU4 in any other language the game will be very messed up.

You run regular eu4 well then I am assuming?

Metro last light and eu4 are totally different games so your speed in one does not really determine your speed in the other. Paradox games are probably the only games out right now that RAM is very important (lots of data that needs to be checked and modified every month in game) your RAM seems fine for the game unless you are having your pc do something else that would be consuming your RAM?

Have you modified any of the files in vanilla eu4?

No files modified, running in english eu4, not much else to say really, i can run on speed 5 at 60fps in normal eu4, even with mods and an empire covering europe/asia

that is very odd. maybe golladan can help more. You can always try deleting the files from the mod folder and redownloading that may help

Yeah, i got bad performance as well. Found out that it is related to the amount of countries in game (make a custom only game, and just create one nation. A month will last less that a second)

There are a lot more nations in game than vanilla, my guess is that a good old conquering rampage should help your performance ;)
