The passenger function wasn't working for me.

Did you press E (+use) on the passenger seat? Only the front seat is working.

I couldn't find a solution yet to make the reverse correct

Yeah, it's because there are trigger_push layers on the front and on the back of the car, and they simulates player/item collision. If I would remove those, you would just go through the boxes/barrels/players without pushing them.

When entering the vehicle on pressing e, the player is pushed away after briefly interacting with the driver or passenger seats. Any settings that need to be set?

You're right it was enabled. However, after disabling and refreshing the map the same thing occurs. Any additional settings?

Sorry but I can't think of any other command, maybe set it to 0 by default in your autoexec.cfg.
