Additionally, It's pretty easy to offroad this map, which I don't think should be possible.
I've noticed that there are some post that are breakable scattered throughout the map. Are these to show the player where the track goes? If so, they shouldn't be breakable. If they aren't these could be used to trigger something on the map. Say that there are 2 people racing each other. The person breaks the sign, and it causes a tree to fall down, or causes a box to explode, spining the person in first out of control.
Overall, very Impressed! I can't wait to see this map get better.
Off-roading is not a big problem yet, because the car will most likely get stuck in something, but it will be fixed later.
That's a great idea, if I can redo the trigger events at every start (using the point_teleport entity) I will definitely implement some of those.
Unfortunately I won't have much free time in the next weeks to polish this map, but I plan to make more, and bigger race maps, maybe a city themed one.

though on a more serious note, I'd like it if the boxes had a lower durability. that way, if a car were to run into it, it would explode on contact
