2 Things. 1 Make sure you put the correct one on, some of the prosthetics (like the electric gun) are only for the lower arm. 2nd, there's a setting that allows the prosthetics to auto detect if they can go onto another limb instead of you having to manually set the limb in the context menu, just enable that setting and you should be good.
