Otherwise, I have an idea I'd like to share that I've been longing for:
It would be awesome if you could add a setting that replaces the "Break Bond" option on the Beefalo Bell with a "Call Forth / Shoo Away" option instead.
Call Forth would make it so that, if the Beefalo is a couple tiles away from the player, the domesticated beefalo begins to run towards the player (like they do automatically if you get too far away while holding the bell), regardless of the situation it is currently in. This allows you to have far more control over your Beefalo's wandering habits, but there is a case to be made about it being too powerful for getting your Beefalo away from immediate danger (which could be a setting on its own).
Shoo Away is my main desire: This command would appear if your Beefalo is within near range of your character, and it makes your Beefalo try and distance itself away from the player by running away (this would either make them despawn off-screen for the time being, or simply make it follow you from a distance away). This mainly serves for times when you are building structures but your Beefalo is obstructing the way too much, and so you can gently make it go away for a while to let your player breathe a bit. When you are ready to call it back, you'd have the Call Forth prompt appear on the bell.
The new way to break a bond with a Beefalo would be to click on the Beefalo while holding onto the bell (or using left D-Pad on the bell while using a controller).
