Patch Guide
This mod is designed to be expandable and it is very easy to create a patch that slots in a recipe either to repair, refurbish, or recharge your own custom items. If you have your own recipe to create your item, it's just a matter of copying it and changing the settings to match the settings of this mod's recipes.

I would only like to ask that you follow the recipe guidelines set forth here, if only for the sake of consistency.

Repair, Refurbish, or Recharge?

To categorize your recipe, you can follow this checklist:
  1. If your item has Power cells involved in it's creation, it should be on Recharge.
  2. If your item is an Armor providing protection, it should be on Refurbish.
  3. If your item presumably consumes a resource to function, it should be on Refurbish.
  4. Anything else should go on Repair.

Examples of items that consume a resource are the Pacifier and the EM Umbrella, which include Healing balm and Energy crystals in their construction. The Respirator mask uses Ore to filter toxins and the Nightvision goggles presumably wear down their Electronics, so these items are also Refurbished.

Recipe Settings

To set up your recipe, copy your creation recipe and change the settings like so:
  1. In the Misc category, on the Build Category, set it to one of three settings:
    • TC_RepairItem
    • TC_RefurbishItem
    • TC_RechargeItem
  2. In the Input tab, choose the resources to be used in the recipe and don't forget to add in your item. Then set the amount to 25% for Repair or 50% for Refurbish of the total resources used to create the item. If the item is to be Recharged, only have the input be the item itself.
  3. In the Production tab, change these settings:
    • If the item is to be Recharged, set the Device work time at 8hrs per Power cell.
    • Uncheck Creates unfinished item.
    • Make sure Output decay from input is unchecked.
    • Uncheck Destroy on fail.
    • If the item is to be Recharged, uncheck Manual work. The recipe is finished!
    • Copy the Guaranteed success level into the Proficiency level, and then zero out the Guaranteed success level.
    • Zero out the Fail chance.
    • Set the Activity duration into 1/5 for Repair and 1/3 for Refurbish of the creation time.
    • Set the XP Grade at Crafting_Low. The recipe is finished!

Recipe Tech

If your item starts out as hidden, and you wish for your new recipe to only appear when your item has been researched, don't forget to remove the Hidden property with a Change Research Effect entry to edit your tech.

Final Notes

Take note that you are not required to follow these instructions. These are only a set of guidelines meant to promote consistency. There is nothing stopping you from from making a recipe that makes your worn down Gatling Railgun Sniper XXX Recharge to full in 1 hr or some other sh*t. I only hope that you use this mod responsibly.
